Every GHSA member school must submit all game results, regardless of classification, to MaxPreps in order to manage Class A Basketball Power Ratings and to verify Region Standings across all classifications.
- Coaches are encouraged to use the free Teams by MaxPreps app to submit schedules, scores, rosters and statistics. By using the app, coaches can also sync their MaxPreps calendar to their phone and communicate with their team.
- MaxPreps is a 100% free service and the official source of power ratings, region standings and stats for the GHSA.

The first Power Ratings for Basketball will come out Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
The final playoff team in Classes 3A & 7A (the "at large" team in the playoff brackets) for the four power-ranked sports (baseball, basketball, football and softball) will be determined by a modified power rating system. Click here to see that system.
