Valhalla Stadium on the campus of Berry College in Rome has been selected as the venue for the Georgia High School Association’s Classes A Private, 4A and 7A Boys and Girls Track meets on May 11, 12 and 13.
The GHSA extends its gratitude to Berry Track Coach Luke Syverson and the administration at Berry College for agreeing to host the event. “Berry has a fantastic facility that will serve these championships well. We are excited and looking forward to a first class meet,” stated Jay Russell, the coordinator of Track and Field for the GHSA.
Berry will replace Jefferson in the new three-site lineup for the expanded State Track Meet this spring. Jefferson had to withdraw due to an extensive renovation project on Memorial Stadium.
The venue lineup for the GHSA Track & Field State Championships, presented by Atlanta Track Club, on May 11-13, 2017 is as follows:
