2024-2025 GHSA Bass Fishing Schedule and Press Release

As many of you know GHSA and the GHSA bass fishing program lost one of the strongest assets for the program this summer. Kevin Giddens was a pillar in the initial set up of this great sport’s program for the Georgia High School Students. Coach Giddens’ love for the sport of bass fishing made his job appear effortless. He worked daily to ensure the success of this program.

Coach Giddens will be missed as the GHSA Bass Fishing Director, as a coach and, as a friend. His efforts have helped by providing the students of Georgia with one of the strongest athletic programs in the nation.

I know Coach Giddens would want us all to persevere and keep his legacy alive by continuing this great sport for all Georgia student anglers and for the GHSA.
In honor of such an extraordinary man, The Student Angler Federation has dedicated the 2025 Georgia Bass Fishing season in memory of Coach Giddens.
Kevin, you will be missed our friend. – SAF
