Congratulations to 2024 Basketball State Champions

The  2024 GHSA / Dr. Ralph Swearngin Basketball State Championships, presented by Breda Pest Management, were held March 6-9 at the Macon Centreplex. Congratulations to all state champions: Girls – St. Frances (1A Div 1), Greenforest (1A Div. 2), Mt. Paran (2A), Hebron Christian (3A), Baldwin (4A), Jackson-Atlanta (5A), Marist (6A) and Grayson (7A); Boys – Greenforest (1A Div. 1), Mt. Vernon (1A Div. 2), Westside-Augusta (2A), Sandy Creek (3A), North Oconee (4A), Kell (5A), Riverwood (6A) and Grayson (7A); AAASP Wheelchair - Houston County. The BSN Sports Girls 3-Point Contest was won by Lizzie McGrath of Riverwood. Coed 3-point winners were Athena Vachtsevanos and Micah Jimerson of North Hall. And the Slam Dunk winner was Jeremy Bell of Clinch County.
