In the last two college football National Championships (2023 & 2024), the Referees started as GHSA officials.
Jeff Heaser – AAFOA member from 1991 to 2001 – worked the National Championship between Georgia and TCU in 2023.
And Marcus Woods – AAFOA Member from 2007 to 2014 – worked Monday’s National Championship game between Michigan and Washington.
Both are ACC Referees. This is a great achievement for them both and the GHSA!
