The 2022 GHSA Cross Country State Championships, presented by the Atlanta Track Club, were held November 4-5 at the Carrollton Course. Congratulations to the state champions: BOYS: Marietta, North Atlanta, Decatur (Back-to-Back), Westminster (6 straight), Oconee County, Athens Academy, Armuchee (Back-to-Back), and Atkinson County. GIRLS: Marietta (3-peat), Marist (3-peat, first in 6A), Decatur, Pace Academy (3-peat, first in 4A), Wesleyan (3-peat, first in 3A) & Savannah Arts, Bleckley County and Atlanta Classical Academy (1A Div. 2)
First time state titles by seven schools: North Atlanta (6A boys), Decatur (5A girls), Oconee County (3A boys), Athens Academy (2A boys), Savannah Arts (2A girls), Atkinson County (1A Div. 2 boys) and Atlanta Classical Academy (1A Div. 2 girls). Past state champion history: Boys & Girls.
