The inaugural GHSA Inspiration Award presented by Wild Adventures will be awarded Dec. 10 during halftime of the Class 6A Football State Championship game between Buford and Hughes. Navan Kothari, a student-athlete from Wheeler High School and Casey Vogt from Dacula High School will be the honorees.
The award is motivated by the Disney Wild World of Sports Spirit Award presented annually to college football's most inspirational individual or team. Partnering with Wild Adventures, our award goes to the person in both categories who has inspired others in acts in community service, overcoming adversity, sportsmanship, leadership, inclusion of students, anti-bullying, or unifying the student body. There were 137 nominations and over 30 applications submitted. The impressive applications were scored by seven individuals across the state and scores were tallied to determine the winners. Congratulations to our two most inspirational winners!
