The 2019 GHSA Team Dual Wrestling State Championships were held January 17-19 at the Macon Centreplex. Congratulations to State Champions: Camden County, Valdosta, Woodland, Woodward Academy, Jefferson, Social Circle and Commerce. It was a first team dual title for Valdosta and Woodward Academy. Jefferson captured an 18th straight championship in a hard fought match, narrowly defeating North Hall 30-29. Consecutive state wins were also earned by Commerce (6), Social Circle (5) and Camden (5).
Much appreciation goes to the Atlanta Takedown Association, Team Georgia, Macon Centreplex, Sports Medicine South/Gwinnett Medical Center, US Army, Georgia Farm Bureau, Resilite mats, Takedown Sportswear, NFHS Network, TrackWrestling, Gatorade, officials, table workers, volunteers, teams, wrestlers and fans on a successful event.
