The GHSA will initiate a new program in honor of the commitment of officials throughout the state. The program will recognize contest officials who work three and four GHSA sports/activities during a respective school year.
The first award for three sports/activities will be called the "Officiating Triple Crown Award," the second will be called the "Officiating Grand Slam Award" for working four sports/activities in a school calendar year.
In addition to a certificate of achievement the honored individuals will receive recognition on the GHSA web site, the GHSA Newsletter, GAOA Annual Convention, and their accomplishment submitted to Referee Magazine.
