Marvin joined the GHSA in July, 2024 as Director of Media Relations. Marvin is a 25 year veteran of broadcast TV journalism, covering news and sports with WMAZ TV-13 out of Macon, GA. Born into a military family, Marvin has lived in Europe as well as all across the United States. He is a proud graduate of Warner Robins High School and Georgia Southern University with a BA in Broadcasting. He also is a football letterman of both varsity programs in high school and in college. Marvin is married to career educator, Dr. Damita (Andrews) James of Forsyth and they have one daughter, Yasmine Drew who is on pace to graduate from Columbus State with a degree in Theatre Education.
