Congratulations to the 2023-24 Game Day State Championship winners: Vidalia (1A-2A), Cedartown (3A-4A), South Effingham (5A/6A) and Carrollton (7A). The sixth season competition, in partnership with Varsity Brands, Inc., was held December 8 at the Georgia State University Convocation Center.
Teams competed in areas they use to lead a crowd at a game on "Game Day" at a football or basketball game. There are three segments on which they will be judged: cheer, band chant, and fight song. The teams scoring the highest in these three segments were the finalists and then combined all of these areas in an additional three-minute routine.
