Congratulations 2020 Basketball State Champions

The 2020 GHSA / Dr. Ralph Swearngin Basketball State Championships, presented by Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance, were held March 4-7 at Macon Centreplex in front of enthusiastic crowds.  Congratulations to state champions: Girls - Holy Innocents', Wheeler County, Douglass-Atlanta, GACS, Americus-Sumter, Buford (4 straight), Forest Park and Westlake; Boys - St. Francis, Hancock Central, Swainsboro, Pace Academy, Woodward Academy, Dutchtown, Chattahoochee and Wheeler; AAASP Wheelchair - Houston County (eight straight).  The girls 3-Point Contest, presented by BSN Sports, was won by Emily Acampora of Harrison, while the Boys Slam Dunk Contest, also by BSN Sports, was won by Ja' Queze Kirby of Jeff Davis.  Past State Champions:  Boys & Girls.
