In an effort to avoid conflict with several participating schools’ graduation ceremonies, the GHSA has rescheduled the 2017 State Baseball Championship series to begin on Wednesday, May 24, instead of the originally-published starting date of Thursday, May 25.
Friday, May 26, will now be an off date, as that is when many of the potential finalists have graduation.
With cooperation from both the Savannah Bananas and the Rome Braves, the final series at both sites will now be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, if necessary. Game starting times and ticket prices are unchanged.
